Description
A delightful dwarf border Clematis in a mixture of marine blue and rich rose 5cm (2 inch) flowers, with each one being delicately fragrant. The herbaceous plants are firstly erect in habit, and then spread unless staked to cover the ground in a sea of blooms, which are then followed by the attractive whiskery seed heads.
Sowing Instructions
Pre chill the seed to 5c for 3 weeks prior sowing. Sow on to a moist seed sowing compost in a 576 plug tray or slightly larger unit if preferred. Cover the seed lightly with vermiculite and propagate at 15 to 20c. Germination should take place in approximately three weeks.
Growing Instructions
Grow on the seedlings lightly shaded and when they are established and fill the tray pot on into 1 litre pots or put 3 plugs into a 2 or 3 litre pot. Over winter in a well ventilated unheated glasshouse, tunnel or cold frame for sales the following April to May.
