Description
Compact plants with blue flowers veined with purple, suitable for 9cm to two litre pot production
Sowing Instructions
Sow on to a moist seed sowing compost in a 150 cell plug tray or slightly smaller unit. Cover well to a depth of approximately 5 mm with vermiculite and propagate at 18 c to 20c. Take care with summer sowings that the temperatures do not rise above 22c as this may have the effect of reducing germination. Keep the compost very moist but not dripping wet for best results. Germination should begin to take place after about 10 days.
Growing Instructions
Grow on the November - January sowings at around 15c cooling to 10 as the plants establish enough to begin to cover the surface of the tray. Plants should be ready for potting in Early March at which point they can be transferred to either a 9cm pot or put into larger pots such as 1 or 2 litre with 3 plugs per pot and should be ready for sale in early July. The June - July sowings will need to be grown on as cool as possible and potted in the same way as above during late summer-early autumn. And over wintered for sales in May - June the following year.
