Description

Upright spikes covered in white and green bracts, well suited to 2 litre pot production.

Sowing Instructions

Sow on to the surface of moist compost in a 150 cell plug tray or similar size unit and cover with approximately 5mm of vermiculite. Propagate at 15 to 18c and germination should begin to take place within 10 to 14 days. Maintain a temperature of 10 to 15 c after germination.

Growing Instructions

Grow on the January sowings at 15c and reduce to 10 as the seedlings become established. When the seedlings are ready to pot around Mid March transfer them to 1 litre pots or put three plugs in a 2 litre pot for sales from May onwards and flowering from late June. The June-July sowings can be potted in the same way as the January ones and over wintered in a well ventilated unheated glasshouse tunnel or cold frame for sale the following April-May.
